The Art of Aging Well™ means taking a comprehensive look at your health. When you visit AgeWellMD at our offices in Cherry Creek for the first time, we will analyze the result of your lab work that you would have had done before your visit. We then spend the time to talk to you about all of your symptoms and current diagnosis that you are managing. From those discussions and data, we provide a treatment plan that can include a combination of BHRT (Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy), IV nutrition, Peptide Therapy, and Supplements.
Why We Choose Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Chemically identical to the hormones in your body, Bioidentical Hormones supplement the hormones your body naturally produces. There are fewer side effects because they are metabolized the same way as your natural hormones. Also, we can craft what you need based on your current hormonal makeup. As you can see, there are many benefits to choosing Bioidentical over Synthetic hormones.
How do we administer BHRT?
At AgeWellMD in Denver, we choose to use pellet therapy for hormone replacement therapy delivery. Pellet therapy is when we create a tiny incision on your buttock during an office visit and insert pellets that metabolize slowly. Pellet therapy usually takes around three months for women and six months for men. We like pellet therapy over other options because it provides a consistent release of hormones without you having to remember to take or apply something daily. Your body metabolizes what it needs when it needs it. Thus you never have to worry about taking too much or too little. We like pellet therapy because Dr. Engsberg knows where it comes from and exactly what is in each pellet. However, since we customize every treatment plan to your needs, we may choose another delivery method such as oral, creams, or patches.
Who does BHRT Help?
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is for both men and women of varying ages. In fact, unlike the antiquated thought that hormone therapy was only for women during or after menopause, we see this therapy helps a wide range of patients. In light of today’s everyday lifestyle, which is high in stress, low in nutrition, and exercise, we see men and women in their 20’s with hormonal imbalance. Whenever we can couple BHRT with changes in lifestyle, we see improvements. For example, some symptoms ware thinning hair, weight increase, brain fog, sleep issues, and reduced libido. To sum it up, hormonal imbalance doesn’t just affect one gender or age group!
AgeWellMD focuses on helping our patients live their best life. By resolving the underlying issues causing your symptoms, we can provide a better quality of life.
